The Traveling Art Exhibit is a year-round silent auction that features quality artwork pieces donated for auction to support the BHHBA Scholarship program. The BHHBA gives out 2 scholarships annually in the amount of $1,000 each to two deserving students, with preference given to members and member families, as well as to students going into a Construction Industry field of study.
The “Burst of Color” and the "Rich Theme" art handcrafted paintings was donated by Jackie Long. Jackie is the mother of Shane Regelin from Heartland Pella. Jackie Long is an award winning watercolor and mixed media artist from Rapid City, South Dakota. She has won awards for her work from the Northern Plains Watercolor Society, including the Gold Award this year, and the Nevada Watercolor Society. The schedule is as follows September 17 thru October 4 - Pioneer Bank and Trust-Mt Rushmore Rd. and October 4 thru October 16 - Med5 4956 5th St. October 16 thru November 1 - First American Title - 800 Mt. Rushmore Rd. Suite 100, November 1 thru November 19 - BHFCU - 200 Main St. and November 19 thru December 6 - Pennington Title Company - 725 Kansas City St. The winner will be announced at the BHHBA Christmas party being held at the Deadwood Mountain Grand Saturday, December 7, 2019. The proceeds will go towards our Education & Scholarship Program.
