GET INVOLVED AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE - Join a committee today.

Committees are the driving force for the success of BHHBA. As well as a great way to network with other individuals from the industry, as well as getting involved with Black Hills Home Builders Association on a completely new level.

Chair: Spencer Gossel, CMG Mortgage

Coordinates membership retention and recruitment. Develops membership-related material and information as well as working to engage all members. Organizes our monthly membership socials, as well as plan for educational pieces and programs for current and future members.

Chair: Casey Dolney, Bierschbach Equipment & Supply

Plans and organizes educational and continuing of education opportunities in an effort to support the construction industry and the association. Furthering the education of children of interest in the construction business and offering scholarships to support those students in their future endeavors.

Chair: Brian Johnson, Knecht Home Center

Monitors activities of the legislative and governmental issues, making recommendations for action through BHHBA. Develop goals of action as well as keeping members involved and informed.

Chair: Ross Jones, Jones Construction

Responsible for coordination and execution of fund-raising events for the local BHHBA Build PAC fund also keeps membership informed of activities and disbursements of funds to political candidates on the local, state, and national level.

Chair: Shane Regelin, Heartland Pella

Coordinates all aspects of the Annual BHHBA Home Show, from marketing and planning to the vendor experience itself.

Chair: Jeff Weidenbach, Weidenbach Brothers Construction (Co-Chair, Ross Jones, Jones Construction)

Plans, organizes, produces and promotes all aspects of the association’s annual spring and fall Parade of Homes events, including builder participation, and community awareness.

Chair: Darin Howie, Howie Construction

Organizes one of the largest fundraising events to assist families in need of assistance from tragedy in their lives.

Chair: Erin Wood, Wood Builders, Inc

Produces and promotes the success of the Annual BHHBA Golf Tournament. Organizes the event for the success of great networking opportunities for members as well as a fun way to get involved within the community.

About Teresa Jones

Teresa was born and raised in South Dakota. Growing up in Gregory County; in a small, rural farming community, she learned the value of hard work, perseverance, and the importance of building strong relationships with family, friends, and community. She relocated to Rapid City fifteen years ago to be near her sister, niece, and nephews. A few years later, her mother and father also moved to Rapid City from Winner, South Dakota. She is the mother of five children and has five grandchildren that she adores. She enjoys camping, boating, swimming, and spending time with her family at the lake.

Teresa has a diverse business background with experience in office management, sales/marketing, training, team building, billing/collections, and customer relations. She has spent the last 7 years as an entrepreneur and owner of a successful, small local business. She thrives in fast-paced environments that require strategic leadership and strong communication skills. She believes in prioritizing business growth through innovative solutions, exceptional customer service, a positive attitude, teamwork, and seeking out opportunities for community collaboration. Her favorite thing about her work is finding meaningful ways to bring joy to those around her while striving to make a positive impact within her community. 

About Rachelle White

Rachelle White was born and raised in South Dakota. She met her husband at Ellsworth AFB and has been married for 13 years. After marriage, the Army moved them around before they ultimately settled back in Summerset, SD with their 3 children. Rachelle has a background in event planning, public relations and owns two businesses. She was hired as our Executive Vice President in January of 2023. She looks forward to meeting members and promoting home ownership for all in the Black Hills area.

About Amber Underwood

Amber Underwood was born and raised in Rapid City, SD, and is a high school graduate of Douglas High School.  After graduating, she continued her education receiving degrees in psychology and early childhood education. Amber started working in the non-profit sector in 2006 for the Cornerstone Rescue Mission. She was instrumental in developing and launching their childcare program where she advocated for the children, being their voice. After successfully getting the program off the ground, Amber started her roadmap into the building industry working for Menards. Amber traveled throughout the Midwest opening new stores, training, and setting them up for success. After six years on the road and opening five stores, Amber changed directions and found her calling within the insurance industry. Amber is the office manager for Gregg Fullerton – State Farm Agency where she has worked for the past eleven years. Her passion and being able to educate her customers on the “why” of insurance is what she feels makes her mission complete.

Amber became an active member of the Black Hills Home Builders Association in 2015 and joined both the state board of directors and local board of directors in 2017. She has served on every committee, chaired scholarship & workforce, membership & associates. She has been treasurer for state and local, board advisor & vice president locally. Amber is currently the 2023 and 2024 BHHBA President. Amber’s passion is educating others on insurance and giving back to the community. Amber also sits on the board of directors for Sacred Mountain Retreat Center, a local non-profit helping veterans, first responders, and families through PTSD. She is an active member of BNI and is currently the Vice President of her chapter. Amber’s goal is to continue giving back; through her non-profit work, fundraising, focusing on home ownership for all.
