What is the BHHBA Home Show?
This annual regional trade show focuses on the home building industry and is the largest home show in the United States for a community of its size. Created and sponsored by the Black Hills Home Builders Association in 1973, the event offers vital information and is an excellent opportunity for businesses to display products and services. Plan now to become part of the Home Show which traditionally hosts over 600 booths with 20,000 people attending in a three day period.
The HBA represents builders who are involved in residential and commercial construction, remodeling, land development, property management as well as subcontractors, suppliers, lenders, and others in the service industry. The HBA seeks to achieve the following goals:
1)To be the recognized authority for the home building industry to those in government and regulatory agencies, as well as the general public.
2)To be the desired trade association for membership by those connected with the building industry.
3)To be the recognized information/education source by members of the Industry, government, and the public.

Set Up and Tear Down Crews

Membership Meeting
The BHHBA Monthly membership meeting will be held at the Civic Center on Thursday, March 29th. Exhibitors should expect our members to be there until 10:00 pm looking at their booths. You are not required to be there at this time, security will be provided during these hours.
Strict Fire Code rules will be enforced.
Please note: absolutely no plastic table covers are permitted in the show. Your table coverings do not need to be flameproof, however the Home Show Regulations do not allow any plastic table coverings. If you feel that you have any questionable material in your display or your display may not meet fire code rules, you are responsible to advise the Home Show Management as well as read the applicable fire code which can be viewed at www.rcgov.org/firedept/prevention_division.htm, then click on “Regulations for indoor/outdoor public assembly. It is important that you are following these rules. Any questions that you may have should be addressed well in advance of the show with the Home Show Manager in conjunction with RC Fire Department officials.
Tear Down of booths prior to 5:00 PM on Sunday IS PROHIBITED.
Any exhibitor who begins tear down prior to 5:00 PM on Sunday will be assessed a $200.00 fee per booth. The assessment will be paid prior to admittance into any future BHHBA event. BHHBA understands that it is a long weekend and everyone’s tired. However, Home Show committee members feel that tear down prior to the close of the show reflects poorly on the remaining exhibitors and is a disservice to our community.
